Voices for North-South Solidarity at the World Social Forum

The 2016 World Social Forum is quickly approaching. Speakers are planning their arrival and the schedule is being finalized. KAIROS is excited to have a team of knowledgeable panelists to speak on their diverse experiences with social and ecological justice. This week’s guests will reveal the shared struggle of Indigenous peoples in the global South and those here in Canada today. In particular, these events will highlight resistance against colonization and Canada’s resource extraction sector. We will hear from Indigenous women and allies from Canada coast to coast, as well as Ecuador and the Philippines. Don’t miss this unique opportunity for North-South collaboration and solidarity.
