A Virtual Rally for Real Canadian Corporate Accountability

A Virtual Rally for Real Canadian Corporate Accountability

Join the Canadian Network on Corporate Accountability (CNCA), of which KAIROS is a member, on Sunday, October 18th at 4:00PM EDT for a virtual rally in support of corporate accountability.

Surpassing the initial goal of 4,000 signatures, 6,130 Canadians signed the e-petition to the House of Commons calling for (1) the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Business Enterprise (CORE) to be granted the tools to investigate allegations of business-related human rights violations and (2) the enactment of legislation to ensure Canadian companies abide by human rights frameworks. Thank you!

It is now time to deliver the petition to Parliament!

Come together online with Canadians from across the country for the CNCA’s first ever virtual rally. Together, we will symbolically deliver the petition to the House of Commons calling for concrete measures to strengthen the rules for businesses and uphold human rights.

Tune in to hear from mining-affected communities, listen to a live musical performance, chant for change, and connect with a growing movement demanding Canadian corporations uphold human rights abroad.
