#KAIROSClimateAction month wrap up

DAY 30 of climate action month wrap-up

Today is the last day of Climate Action Month! Thank you for following us this month on our collective journey of learning and action for the climate. Today, we also commemorate the first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada and Orange Shirt Day. In week 3, we explored the important connections between Indigenous rights, decolonization, and climate justice. This past Monday, we showcased the knowledge and experience of Indigenous land and water defenders and the importance of listening to these voices as a solution to the climate crisis. Throughout the month, we’ve emphasized the importance of repairing relationships between ourselves and the Earth and between ourselves and others in achieving climate justice. This National Day for Truth and Reconciliation offers another opportunity for learning and reflection to nurture right relations.

Today, we invite you to set aside some time to take your next step on this journey. We invite you to read Truth and Reconciliation: A Reflection by Connor Sarazin. The reflection is followed by several resources for learning and unlearning for September 30 and beyond.

Keep following KAIROS Canada for campaigns, actions, resources, and events on climate justice. Register for the For the Love of Creation for our Fall Symposium on October 30 where our conversation for climate justice continues.
