Between October 29th and the 31st the Davao region of Mindanao was rocked by two strong earthquakes that resulted in a number of deaths and the collapse of many residential and other buildings. The region has already been impacted by increased militarization and ongoing armed conflict. These earthquakes will worsen the already dire situation for communities displaced by the conflict.
