One year after the failure of UN climate talks in Copenhagen, KAIROS has released a Briefing Paper calling for decisive action as negotiations resume in Cancún, Mexico. The paper contrasts the Canadian public’s desire for urgent action with a lack of initiative from the Canadian government. The paper evaluates some of the proposals that will be on the table at Cancún in light of the gospel imperative for equity, justice and restoration.
