A creative arts journal to Connect with Creation #KAIROSClimateAction

DAY 11 of Climate Action Month: connect with Creation with an arts journal

Every Saturday during Climate Action Month, we invite you to take time to connect with Creation. We’ll offer some resources to guide these moments of connection, but you are welcome to connect in any way that brings you joy, rest and renewal. Share your moment connecting with Creation on social media using #KAIROSClimateAction.

This week, KAIROS is pleased to feature a new resource from For the Love of Creation called Creation Care as Self Care.  This contemplative resource is a creative arts journal to support you in an intentional and restorative relationship with yourself as a part of nature. You can do this workbook alone or in a small group, with gathering and centering rituals according to your tradition. Please note that you do not need any previous experience or to consider yourself “good” at any art forms in order to participate fully.

The guide is accompanied by three prayerful meditations. We invite you to download them and take them with you on a walk or as you spend a moment in connection with Creation this weekend.

This resource and the accompanying meditations were created by Anna Bigland-Pritchard. Anna is a vocal artist, pedagogue, arts administrator, and expressive arts therapy student living in the traditional territories of the Wh-Say-Nech (WSÁNEĆ) and Le-kwung-en-speaking peoples, under the Douglas Treaties (Victoria, BC). She most often finds God in the whispers of trees and the breath between notes. Anna believes in the sacredness of nurturing a deep love of self, of neighbour, and prioritizing connection with the rest of creation.
