Quaker on SC
David is the representative on SC of Canadian Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). A retired history professor now based in Montreal (Tiotiage) He has lived and worked all over Canada including the sub-Arctic. Previously to the SC appointment, he served in Kairos’ ecological circle for many years, and helped write the world Quakers’ Kabarak Call to Peace and Ecojustice (2012). A great-grandfather, gardener, composter and wood-splitter, he is grateful for the insights imparted by many indigenous friends over the years.
