KAIROS REGIONAL  ONLINE  GATHERING  2021

This gathering is centered on Treaties 1 and 2 Territory, ancestral land of the Dakota, Anishinaabe, Ojibway, Ojibway- Cree, Cree, Dene and the homeland of the Metis Nation. We are hosting a series of online sessions to replace our in-person annual gathering. This is special invitation to those in Manitoba and NW Ontario, but all are welcome, no matter where you live.

On March 11, join us for a presentation by Katherine Nichols and Darian Kennedy on Investigating Unmarked Grave Sites and Burial Grounds at Site of Brandon Residential School. The presentation will be followed by some time for Q&A.

Katherine Nichols is a Doctoral Candidate at Simon Fraser University. Darian Kennedy is a Brandon University student, and the community liaison for the Brandon Indian Residential School Cemetery Project. They will share their research on the burial grounds at the site of the Brandon Residential School site occurring in partnership with Sioux Valley Dakota Nation and university partners.
