Equal in Dignity – Equal in Rights: Migrant Workers Rights Forum
This forum aims to build relationships of solidarity between transnational migrant workers, local community organizations, faith groups, labour groups, and national migrant worker rights organizations.
Change is coming. On February 17th, MaryAnn Mihychuk, the Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour announced a review of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). This is a critical time for the voices of migrant workers to be heard, and PEI’s migrant workers hold an important piece of this picture.
We seek to facilitate a process that will support all efforts to ensure changes to the Temporary Foreign Worker Program are introduced which create a clear path to permanent residency, open work permits and access to community support services.
This event is free to attend, and lunch will be provided.
