The United Nations declared March 24th as the International Right to the Truth Concerning Gross Human Rights Violations and for the Dignity of Victims. On this day, we acknowledge that the right to the truth includes knowing the full and complete truth – to honour the victims of systemic human rights violations and to pay tribute to those who promote and protect human rights for all.
In observance of this day, the Oakville Palestinian Rights Association [OPRA] believes it necessary to highlight the underlying cause of the continued mistreatment of Indigenous people around the world. Together, let’s explore how settler colonialism created & continues to implement inadequate standards of living for children in Palestinian & First Nations communities.
