The KAIROS Great Lakes-St. Lawrence Regional Gathering will be in conjunction with Covenant Chain Link X this year. Join in all the conference activities on Friday and Saturday, including keynote speaker Dr. Niigaan Sinclair and workshops on the preservation of Indigenous languages and then stay for a workshop by KAIROS staff and a network building time on Sunday, 9am-12pm in the same location.
TRANSPORTATION: Road trip! Never been to a KAIROS event before? This is your chance. Grab a friend or two and join us. KAIROS will rent up to 3 cars. Each car will have at least TWO PEOPLE who are either new to KAIROS or under 30 years old. The more the merrier – additional passengers encouraged. Riders expected to stay for the whole weekend, including KAIROS gathering on Sunday morning. Contact Shannon at sneufeldt@kairoscanada.org to reserve your free ride.
ACCOMMODATIONS: A block of rooms has been booked at the Rideau Heights Inn, 72 Rideau Heights Dr., Nepean. It is a 5-10 minute drive from the conference site which will be held at Confederation Education Centre, 1645 Woodroffe Ave., Nepean. The reserved rooms are in the name of Kairos Canada. A variety of room types will be available and cost is approximately $120/night. Bookings must be made by Sept. 18 and after that it will be by availability.
