Are you concerned about the threat of climate breakdown and the failure of our governments to prevent it?
Are you interested in joining a non-violent faith-based response to the climate crisis?
If so, please join members of Toronto faith communities on Wednesday March 27th from 6 – 930 pm at Friends’ House, 60 Lowther Avenue (two blocks north of St. George subway station). Accessible entrance off parking lot on Bedford Avenue.
At the event you will:
– meet other people of faith engaged in climate action;
– learn about Extinction Rebellion’s local and international actions for climate justice;
– receive basic training in non-violent protest and resistance from experienced trainers;
– find out ways to participate in the International Rebellion for Climate Justice (April 15-30).
The event is free. Light supper provided. Please RSVP to michaelpolanyi@gmail.com or margaretrao@rogers.com.
Organized by an ad hoc group of Toronto Unitarians, Anglicans and Quakers.
