Climate Action Month Day 16: Community action week

This week, KAIROS Climate Action Month will focus on community action. September 20 marks the beginning of the Week for Future, an international movement driven by local level activism to hold world leaders accountable for the climate emergency. The systemic changes needed to adequately address climate change cannot be made without community collaboration. We all need to reach out to our political representatives and demand sustainable solutions.

Today’s resource: The need for community action is reflected in today’s Spirited Reflection by Dr. Rev. Frank Thompson

“Churches share at some level in an awakening to the realities of our global situation, more often to the symptoms rather than the causes. Churches are also complicit in the death machine our global economy has become.”
