Happy International Women’s Day

International Women's Day
International Women's Day

This is what women’s empowerment looks like

Empowerment means standing together, lifting each other up, and ensuring equal opportunities for all… Whoever needs to hear this today, we see you, we hear you, and we believe you. Because what you say matters to all women around the world. Happy International Women’s Day.

Yara Hadweh

This is what women’s empowerment looks like to Yara Hadweh, a participant in a training workshop run by our partner, Wiam: Palestinian Conflict Transformation Centre, in Bethlehem, West Bank.
Through our global partners, KAIROS has the privilege of supporting women from around the world who work every day for justice, peace, and equity for their communities and the environment. These women show us what women’s empowerment looks like. This year, in preparation for International Women’s Day, we asked them – What does women’s empowerment look like to you?

We have received a multitude of inspiring and diverse voices and stories, conveyed in in the form of videos, photos and memes. These are examples of tangible and transformative hope, and they speak for themselves. We will be adding more as March, international women’s month, progresses.

Listen, feel inspired and join us in celebrating and supporting the diverse voices and the vital work of women everywhere!
