Let’s ensure that women peace builders in the Global South receive the development assistance they need to lay the groundwork for resilient peace in some of the world’s most protracted conflict zones.
We know that when women are involved, peace processes are not only more equitable and just, they are also more sustainable. We know the Canadian government knows this. It’s recognized in its Feminist International Assistance Policy.
Help make this happen! Please send a message to your Member of Parliament now asking for an increase in international assistance and an increase in funding to women peace builders. It will take only a minute:

The work of these grassroots partners requires long-term, stable and predictable funding, as well as diplomatic support. It’s time that the Canadian government puts its money where its mouth is and fully funds this policy – targeting assistance to women-led grassroots organizations. To do so, it must increase international assistance from the current 0.26 percent of gross national income to 0.7 percent, the international standard. We join other development NGOs in recommending a predictable annual increase of 15 percent to the International Assistance Envelope over 10 years.
