We’re still waiting for the extractive sector Ombudsperson
On January 17, 2018, the Government of Canada announced the creation of the Office of the Canadian Ombudsperson for Responsible Enterprise (CORE). The Ombudsperson has yet to be named. Along with other organizations, KAIROS is participating in the #Open4Justice social media campaign to urge the federal government to make good on its promise and appoint a qualified Ombudsperson.
