KAIROS Canada is bringing together for the first time, our five international Women of Courage: Women, Peace and Security program partners from South Sudan, Philippines, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia, and Palestine.

On Sunday November 25, 2018, join our partners at these congregations in the GTA as they share their work as human rights defenders and peacebuilders. These speaking engagements coincide with the16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, which begins on November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

First Evangelical Lutheran Church (116 Bond St, Toronto, ON): Agnes Wasuk Petia, National Women’s Programme Coordinator, South Sudan Council of Churches, South Sudan. Time: 10.30am.

Sudanese Community Church of Toronto (at St. Olave’s Anglican Church, 360 Windermere Ave, Toronto): Fr. James Oyet Latansio, General Secretary, South Sudan Council of Churches, South Sudan. Time: 03.00pm.

St. James Cathedral (65 Church Street, Toronto): Lucy Talgieh, Women’s Coordinator, Wi’am: Palestinian Conflict Resolution Centre, Palestine. Time: 1.00pm at Lunch and Learn in Snell Hall following the 11.00am service.

Grace United Church (350 Groove Street East, Barrie): Tarek Al-Zoughbi, Project & Youth Coordinator, Wi’am: Palestinian Conflict Resolution Centre, Palestine. Time: 10.30am.
