One of the gifts of summers in Canada is taking time to be outside hiking, summer camps, camping and cottages. This choice enables us to pay attention to the earth and be refreshed by the choice to be more open, permeable and awake to the beauty and wildness around us. We are gifted, held, encouraged, refreshed by trees, lake, sky, sun or rain. It allows us to rewild our theology and spirituality.
The Summer Sabbath Series provides an at home retreat. It provides the opportunity to intentionally make space for paying attention to the earth and our relationship with it from our residence in the city or from just about anywhere (as wifi is available).
This would be a place-based series making room for contemplation, exploring the geographic location of the participants, theological reflection and creative responses. Programming will occur Mon- Fri and be comprised of group time over Zoom and individual time with activities.
The Naramata Centre and KAIROS Canada are excited to co-host this online program.
