South Sudanese Women Speak Peace

• Agnes Wasuk Petia, National Women’s Program, South Sudan Council of Churches
• Awak Hussein, Youth Coordinator, South Sudan Council of Churches
• Henriette Thompson, KAIROS Activist and Educator

This event is part of a 16-day educational tour that coincides with the 16 Days of Activism against Gender- Based Violence. The tour features representatives from the South Sudan Council of Churches’ National Women’s Programme, a KAIROS-funded partner and will highlight the women, peace, and security work of the KAIROS’ Women of Courage Program.

The local planning committe and sponsors includes: KAIROS, Project Ploughshares,Conrad Grebel University College, Balsillie School of International Affairs and St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.

The tour is sponsored nationally by Amnesty International, the Africa Canada Forum, Development and Peace, the South Sudanese Women’s Federation and the Women, Peace and Security Network- Canada.
