EventsMissing & Murdered Indigenous Women In Canada

Monday, May 1, 2023 EDT @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

| $20.00

Through the history of colonization, assimilation, and “Ethnostress”, we will learn about the various forms of violence in which Indigenous people in Canada have continuously been targets of sexual violence, physical, cultural, and spiritual genocide, systemic and state violence and violent victimization.
In this teaching and sharing circle, Knowledge Keeper and Grandmother Tracey Whiteye share part of her life story of healing from the violent victimization of the human trafficking and sex trade, and how she was part of the pandemic of missing and murdered Indigenous people. Through reconnection to her culture, language and Indigenous identity, Tracey is now able to re-story who she is.
