KAIROS has put some new systems in place to ensure that the KBE program can expand to meet demand in a safe and sustainable way. As a result, there are two ways of taking the training, as a KAIROS Facilitator or as a Sector Facilitator.
– KAIROS Facilitator: You can apply to be a KAIROS Facilitator by filling out this application form-

As a KAIROS facilitator you will be collaborating with KAIROS staff to respond to KBE requests in the region. We are asking that you please commit to responding to at least one request every two months. There is a nominal fee of $30 to take the training if your application to be a KAIROS Facilitator is successful. Please note that the application deadline is Friday, November 17. If you are successful, your spot will be confirmed by Sunday November 19 th.
Sector Facilitator: If you would like to take the training in order to use the KBE in your professional context, you’ll find attached an agreement outlining Terms of Use. This agreement would need to be established as part of becoming a Sector Facilitator. One version of the agreement is for individuals, and one is for organizations. It takes a minimum of two people to deliver the KBE, and at least one must be Indigenous. Ideally, as a Sector Facilitator, you will take the training together with your co-lead. The fee for Sector Facilitators to take the training is $300 each. There is also an annual membership fee that varies depending on the size of your organization. We will follow up about this.
This training session will be held at a location to be announced later and will run from 9:00am-4:30pm.
