KAIROS local groups

Through education and action, KAIROS local groups make justice issues come alive! Participants come together from a wide range of churches, faiths and community groups to take joint action for social change. The KAIROS network is made up of about eighty local groups across the country. Each group brings to the network its unique concerns, perspectives and passion for justice.

We welcome new groups and new local members. Have a look at our local groups' page to learn more or contact our national network coordinator or one of the five elected regional representatives.  See also some responses to frequently asked questions about our network, regions, and public events.  (note that all are in PDF format) .

The five KAIROS regions support our cross-Canada network of local groups as they engage in grassroots activism on a wide range of justice issues. Regional representatives are elected to represent the region at the national level, and to help coordinate the work of the region together with Regional Coordinating Committees.

Some regions run their own newsletters and websites. Once a year, regional meetings offer an opportunity for members of local groups to come together for learning and encouragement, regional planning, and dialogue with national staff and Board members.

The KAIROS network includes five geographical regions and a Québec-based francophone partnership, the Réseau oecuménique justice et paix (ROJeP).

The ROJeP brings together a wide range of francophone faith- based organizations in a network committed to social and theological analysis of current realities, mobilization and public intervention in the cause of justice, and the exchange of ideas both among its members and with other networks such as KAIROS. For more information about the Réseau, consult their website at www.justicepaix.org
