Speaking to the United Nations and Canadian governments
KAIROS works with Aboriginal, Metis, Inuit, global Indigenous and non-Aboriginal groups to make periodic submissions to the federal government and to reviews of Canada's efforts (or lack thereof) to comply with human rights agreements which it has signed. In the case of the United Nations' Declaration on Indigenous Rights, Canada has refused to sign and has been an active part of efforts to block the Declaration (see our global Indigenous rights page).
