The name Prairies North brings to mind vast expanses of prairie land, long northern summer days, winter as only the prairies can offer it, and a historical legacy of prairie commitment to social justice that forms a significant part of our Canadian heritage. KAIROS Prairies North Region encompasses all of these things within its Alberta, Saskatchewan and NWT boundaries. Supported by the Regional Coordinating Committee and KAIROS national staff, more than ten local committees throughout the region are making their voices heard in the cry for justice. Bringing together a rich diversity of lifestyles, political affiliations and justice concerns, this region is a dynamic and challenging place in which to sow the seeds for a common future based on God's call to faithful action for justice in our world.
