Dear Bob,
This is a message of love and solidarity from KAIROS to you and
all those in the Christian Peacemaker Teams. Jim Loney and Harmeet
Singh Sooden are in our hearts and our prayers, now and until they
are released.
All of you who work for the Christian Peacemaker Teams are a source
of deep inspiration for us. Out of faith and profound hope you put
your lives on the line for peace.
Jim Loney is part of the KAIROS community. He and many other members
of CPT have helped enrich and shape our Middle East work, contributing
their analysis and advice. We know Jim's deep faith and dedication
and hold it as a beacon.
Our hope is that there will be an outcry from Canada and people
around the world for him and Harmeet, and also for American aid
worker Tom Fox, British peace activist Norman Kember, and German
aid worker Susanne Osthoff, and her Iraqi driver.
Along with Jim and Harmeet and the Christian Peacemaker teams we
pray for all those living in Iraq who suffer and die in this terrible
violence.
Blessings in this Advent season of peace and hopemaking.
