Impunity
Contents
‘Impunity’ has been described as “getting away
with murder.” Military and political leaders may be responsible
for severe human rights violations, yet never face justice. Where
corporations have been implicated in human rights abuses, it may
be impossible to hold them accountable. KAIROS supports the international
movement against this culture of impunity. We help influence the
Canadian government and multilateral bodies to develop and implement
policies, laws, and codes of conduct that are designed to hold the
powerful to account.
