Oil, diamonds, gold, water: all are precious resources that exist
in abundance in the global South. Sometimes the presence and actions
of global corporations involved in extracting these resources pose
a real threat to human rights.
Along with many Canadian and global groups KAIROS works to ensure
that Canadian corporations working abroad meet their obligations
under international human rights and humanitarian laws. We provide
research, analysis, reporting and advocacy on the human rights/social
impacts of resource extraction.
