NoFTAA Campaign
KAIROS participates in the Canadian coalition Common Frontiers, a member of the Hemispheric Social Alliance (HSA). From 2001 – 2003 the HSA carried out an Americas-wide NoFTAA Campaign.

KAIROS’ call to stop FTAA negotiations springs from the Canadian churches’ long-standing belief that respect for human rights, environmental and economic justice must take precedence when engaging in trading relations. The Common Frontiers Campaign focused on making the links between our right to healthcare in Canada and the threat posed by the free trade model.
