Inequalities between and within nations are growing ever wider, with disastrous effect on basic services such as health care, education, access to clean water. KAIROS believes that trade agendas and economic policy must serve the good of all peoples and the earth. We believe that powerful decision makers, such as national governments, international financial institutions and corporations, must be accountable for the impacts of their economic policy. Our global economic justice work focuses on research, advocacy and action in three areas: Because the global HIV and AIDS crisis is fuelled by global poverty, our response to that crisis is linked very strongly to our research, advocacy and action for global economic justice.
