Re-energize: Time For A Carbon Sabbath
| “Let us all make every effort possible,
each from where God has placed us, to rein in our reckless
over-consumption, so that the harmonious workings of this
planet, our common home, may be restored and that we and
our children may enjoy in peace all the good things which
God has created and offers to all.” |
Bartholomew, Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople,
Encyclical for Day of the Protection of Natural Environment,
1
September 2006 |
Our
addiction to oil is killing people and the planet. Overuse of fossil
fuels causes global climate change, deepens human rights abuses,
creates conflict, and causes economic inequality.
It doesn’t
have to be this way. Join KAIROS in Re-Energize: Time For A Carbon
Sabbath: a three-year campaign for personal, community, and political
